One Man - Many Efforts
TLC Founder Ken was born in the United States in 1968. I left the United States in 1999 to teach English in Southeast Asia. After teaching English for six years in Vietnam and eight years in Cambodia I ended up in Indonesia in 2013.
I retired from teaching in 2013 when I came to Indonesia and moved to Bali. I adopted my first dog in 2018 and rescued my first dog in 2019.
After a devastating loss where one of my dogs was hit and killed by a car in January 2020, I decided to take a more active role in the dog rescue community so I founded TLC House Dog Rescue Bali.
We recently leased four era of land in Jimbaran and I am planning to build a much larger dog rescue as our current house is full and we need more space to be able to rescue more dogs.
Rescuing Bali dogs is a huge job that requires an enormous amount of patience and tender loving care. It pulls at your heart string every single day as there are so many abandoned, abused and sick dogs that need our love and care.
